Here is my entry for the PPA240 Challenge this week.
Since I have been designing cards for my classes the last few months, using someone else’s design was a welcomed change this week.
I started with Whisper White card stock in the portrait format, and then selected a pattern from the Irresistibly Yours DSP for my background. I used Sponge Daubers to “paint” the paper first with Wild Wasabi, and then Garden Green ink pads. In most cases I prefer to have a more active look, than that of a solid. The vertical bar is from the Flowerpot DSP. Rather than using circles, I opted for floral shapes, and layers; creating the flowers using the Flower Fair Framelits and paper from the All Abloom paper stack. As a way to separate the flowers from the background, I raised them using SU! Dimensionals, sponged the edges of the white background paper. The larger flower and smallest flower have one layer of Dimensionals, and the middle flower has 2 layers to rise it above the others.
The final touch were 3 different sizes of those wonderful pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewels set.
To finish this card off, I choose to line my envelope using the Envelope Liners Framelits, and the same paper as my vertical strip.
Thanks so much for dropping by.
