O Baby, O Baby
I am enjoying the PALS Paper Arts Challenges each week. Challenge #243 involved three colors, and here’s what I came up with.
This combination of colors reminds me of spring, but because are several ladies in my life that are expecting, I immediately thought of baby cards as the perfect vehicle to meet the challenge. This card is for a girl, but the colors can certainly be changed with the Soft Sky and Pink Pirouette trading places. I used Pistachio Pudding as my base card stock, with a thin mat of Soft Sky under the Whisper White, which I ran through my Texture Boutique machine using the Fancy Fan embossing folder—then topped it all off with lots of Pink Pirouette.
The Stamps
I love the Sophisticated Serifs stamp set so much. It is wonderful for monograms (which you will see in a later post), and allows you the freedom to spell out your own words. Super easy to line up on your Clear Mounting Blocks. The flowers are from another extremely versatile stamp set, Crazy About You. They are first stamped with Pink Pirouette onto the same color of paper, and then punched out using the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch.
The Embellishments
The ribbon is Whisper White Organza Ribbon, painted with a Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker. In the center of the layered bow there sits a pearl from Basic Jewels fits perfectly nestled in a Candy Dot Brad Base, as well as a row of smaller pearls running the length of the flat piece of ribbon.
The Finishing Touch
The Whisper White Envelope was lined using paper from the Subtles DSP Stack, using the Envelope Liners Framelit die.
